How we work

Welcome to your employee experience

The best workplace experiences start with a genuine connection to your team, your work and the systems that help you succeed. At ISS Pacific, people are the heart of everything we do.

Growing, connecting and thriving together

Our Placemakers – those on the frontline across our sites, services and communities – play a vital role in creating safe, welcoming and well-run workspaces. You are joining a community where you belong, grow and make a real contribution. As a Leading Frontline Employer, we ensure you have the professional support and digital tools you need to feel proud of your work.

ISS | A Company of Belonging

ISS is a Company of Belonging. We are committed to a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace where every background is valued. This is reflected in our inclusive leadership, cultural recognition throughout the year, and teams that support one another.

We recognise diverse identities across gender, culture, LGBTQIA+ communities, and lived experience.

Our DEI approach spans seven dimensions of diversity that reflect the people who make up ISS Australia & New Zealand and the communities we serve. These dimensions underpin how we build awareness, capability and meaningful action across our organisation.

  • In New Zealand, we honour Māori culture and tikanga.
  • In Australia, our approach is guided by our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

Creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and respected is an important part of becoming a frontline employer.

Celebrating Connection and Belonging Across Our ISS Community

Across ISS, our people come from many different cultures, backgrounds and life experiences. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) help celebrate that diversity and create spaces where Placemakers can connect, share ideas and support one another.

What are ERGs?
ERGs are volunteer-led groups made up of Placemakers who share lived experiences, identities or passions connected to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

What do the ERGs do?
ERGs help bring important moments of recognition and awareness to life across our sites — from cultural celebrations to community events aligned to ISS’ Global and Pacific Dimensions of Diversity, such as Pride Month activities or Māori Language Week celebrations.

Across Australia & New Zealand, our ERGs focus on seven key dimensions of diversity.
