ISS is a mission-aligned partner within the ADF’s Base Services Transformation (BST) program. We deliver Living and Working Services (LWS) across 9 major bases and 87 sites in South Australia and Western Australia. With a team of 450+ trained professionals, we provide the essential services that allow Defence personnel, their families, and local communities to thrive.

Self-delivered Living & Working Services

Every service is designed around the needs of personnel and the wider Defence community to ensure environments remain safe, rigorously maintained, and mission-supported. 
  • Fuel that supports performance: High-volume, nutritious meals delivered consistently to Defence standards – supporting training outcomes, recovery and physical readiness.
  • Specialised hygiene: Science-led cleaning for administrative and technical areas, reducing health risks and ensuring facilities remain operational and audit-ready.
  • Accommodation services: A home away from home. We manage comfortable living quarters that support rest, wellbeing, and member retention.
  • Base support services: From transport and laundry to fitness and recreation, we coordinate the essential functions that allow a base to run smoothly through training cycles and deployments.

Safety guides everything we do. We use clear, task-specific controls and real-time reporting to meet Commonwealth safety and security requirements. Our teams practise risk management as a daily habit so sites stay compliant and people stay safe. To support high-performance operations, we implement:
