ISS joins Pride in Diversity

ISS Facility Services Australia joins Pride in Diversity to progress the LGBTI inclusion agenda along-side fellow Australian employer organisations.

ISS is invested in creating a truly diverse and inclusive workplace for its employees. ISS’ Pride in Diversity membership formalises ISS’ Values and commitment to improving existing workplace practices, with the assistance of evidence-based data.

Pride in Diversity’s established governance framework and cohort of government and industry members has the ability to provide insight and create more inclusive workplaces across the nation, where all employees can thrive. Inclusion in the Pride in Diversity employee survey will allow ISS to benchmark its Diversity and Inclusion practices against other Australian employer organisations and obtain annual data on the impacts our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives have on our employees, through the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI).

ISS Pacific CEO Stuart Rose said “At ISS we believe that as a global employer and an organisation that services over 400 customers, we have an obligation to our employees and generations to come, to create a work environment where everyone can show up to work as their authentic self.”

“Becoming a member of Pride in Diversity is the next step in the ISS equality journey and is a key milestone for our Progressive Pride working group in Australia and New Zealand”.

“The Program presents a direct opportunity for our leaders and frontline employees to contribute to how employers in Australia provide workplaces that improve equality, inclusion as well as psychological safety of our employees,” said Rose.

“We look forward to working with other organisation members across diverse industries in the Pride & Diversity program.”

This membership strengthens ISS’ position as an industry leader in progressing equal opportunities and removing barriers that LGBTI people face in Australia and extends our support for existing Diversity and Inclusion partners, including The Pinnacle Foundation.

ISS will be joining some of the nation’s largest employers as members of Pride in Diversity including Goldman Sachs, KPMG, IBM, Deutshe Bank, Telstra, Lend Lease, University of NSW, Australian Federal Police and the Department of Defence.
